Bonner wins trip to D.C.

Adam Bonner, 17, a senior at Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School, received top honors at the 2006 Indiana State Fair competition on Aug. 9.

He demonstrated "Preparing for 4-H C a m p , " r e c e i v i n g Special Merit in the Senior D i v i s i o n , G e n e r a l Category.

Bonner, a C a r r o l l County 4-H member, has participated in 4-H Youth Development Program for nine years and is the son of Robby and Brenda Bonner of Flora.

For his efforts, he received a trip to Washington, D.C. The achievement trip, sponsored by the Indiana State Fair Board, will be Oct. 18-22. Forty-three 4-H members and two adult chaperones will be on the trip. The group will take a Purdue charter bus to Washington, D.C., and will stay at the National 4-H Center.
