Teels celebrate 60th

Mr. and Mrs. Benny Teel of Brookston will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 19 with an open house hosted by their children from 2 to 5 p.m. at Chalmers Community Church, located at 208 E. Main St. in Chalmers.

Teel and the former Marjorie Shaffer were married Aug. 11, 1946, at the residence of B. Arthur and Dorothy Shaffer, the bride's parents, in Ockley.

Teel is a retired farmer and she is a retired cook.

The couple has four children, Ralph Teel (wife: Jan) of LaGrange, Max Teel of Buffalo, Lynn Teel (wife: Kandy) of Chalmers and Randy Teel (wife: Brenda) of Brookston.

The couple also has 10 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren. They request that gifts be omitted.
