Vehicle registration late fees waived in August

The Governor's Office has announced that for the duration of August, the Bureau of Motor Vehicles has been directed to waive any late fees incurred as a result of missing the deadline for registration renewals due July 31.B

ranch employees will be directed to not charge the fee to customers renewing plates that expired earlier this week. Those already charged will have the fee refunded, though the process for doing so is yet to be finalized. The action is taken in consideration of any BMV customers who may have incurred a late fee through no fault of their own.
