Garrision wins 4 tournaments

Carroll sophomore Megan Garrison had another good summer of golf, competing in 14 events, earning four first places finishes.

In the statewide Mountain Dew tour in the 15-16 year olds age group, she placed fifth in the Kokomo American Legion event with a score of 86; at Etna Acres in Andrews, she placed fourth with an 82; at the Kokomo Country Club, she placed fourth with an 87; at the Stony Creek Golf Course in

Noblesville, she placed fifth with an 82; and at the Ulen Country Club in Lebanon, she placed eighth with a 95.

In the Central Indiana Junior Golf Association (CIJGA) which plays in the Lafayette area, Garrison played in four of the events in the 14-15 year olds age group, finishing first in her age group in all four. She was also the overall girls' winner in all four tournaments. Those tournaments were at Oak Grove Golf Course in Oxford,

shooting an 88; Crawfordsville 81; and at the Country Club, scoring an 89; Lafayette Municipal Golf Course, scoring an 81; and at the Battle Ground Country Club, scoring an 87.

Garrison participated in a college day tournament held at the Heartland Crossing Golf Course in Avon, finishing second in the 15-year-olds age group with an 89. At the Indiana Girls Amateur tournament held at the Bridgewater

Country Club in Auburn, she made it through the first two days of qualifications with scores of 90 and 85, then lost on the third day which was a match play event.

Garrison also played in the Westfield Qualifier played at the Honeywell Golf Course in Wabash, the U.S. Girls Amateur Qualifier played at the Kampen Course at Purdue University and the Swan Lake Age Group Championship held in Plymouth.
