Mikesells celebrate 65th

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mikesell celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary July 8 with a surprise celebration in the Anheier Building at Monticello City Park. The party was hosted by their son and his wife and their daughter and her husband. There were seven states represented at the celebration.

Mikesell and the former Joan Douglas were married Nov. 27, 1941.

The couple was two children, Jim Mikesell and Sue McDonald. They have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
