Let up on homeowners

How can the council think that right now is a good time to raise property taxes with gas, utilities and the all-around cost of living at the prices they are and going up all the time? When things got rough at my work, people were laid off. Maybe Carroll County can find some places to cut instead of every time the people in charge can't manage our money, to use homeowners as an open source of income.
