Hillcrest will hold a BACK TO SCHOOL BASH AND MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT on Aug. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring folding chairs or a blanket, table service and a covered dish. The event will be held at the back of the school. More information will be shared with students and parents at registration in August.

DOLLY MADISON HOMEMAKER'S CLUB will meet Aug. 7 at Susan Maxwell's residence at 7:30 p.m.

CARROLL COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN will meet on Aug. 16 at 12:30 p.m. at Treece's II in Burlington. Tammy Dyer will provide a program entitled "Hometown Matters." Dyer is vice president of CCRW and secretary of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce. Ann Brown will report on her recent attendance at the IFRW26th Annual Tribute to Women meeting in Plainfield. All interested Carroll County women are invited and encouraged to attend.
