Harry J. Michael

Harry J. Michael, 80, of Camden, died at 2:38 a.m. July 20, 2006, at St. E l i z a b e t h H o s p i t a l M e d i c a l C e n t e r , Lafayette. Born May 3, 1926, in C a r r o l l County, he was the son of William and Eva Shanks Michael. He attended Delphi High School. On Dec. 18, 1946, in Young America, he married Kathleen Appleton, who survives.

A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr. Michael was a farmer.

He was a member of Clymers United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #60, V.F.W. Post #3790, and Odd Fellows Lodge #28.

He enjoyed golf, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Gary Michael (wife: Lynn) and Bill Michael (wife: Nancy), all of Camden; a granddaughter, Shelley Edmondson (husband: Jeff) of Terre Haute; four grandsons, Greg Michael (wife: Maggie) of Rossville, Brad Michael (wife: Amie) of Greenwood; Ryan Michael and Kris Michael (wife: Amy), all of Fishers; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday morning at Gundrum Funeral Home in Logansport. Burial with full military graveside rites was at St. John's Cemetery, Logansport.

Memorials may be made to the Clymers United Methodist Church.
