PTO shows teachers they're appreciated

Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week at Carroll Elementary. The school's PTO planned activities all week to show their appreciation to the 62 teachers and staff.

On Monday, a catered lunch was served, and the teachers were notified there would be no lunch room duties or recess duties for the entire week.

On Tuesday, the theme was "You're so Sweet." Dozens of cookies and a couple hundred candy bars were set out as treats. Wednesday was finger food

day. Shrimp cocktail was served along with meatballs, cheesecake squares, fruit, and many other goodies. Parents also washed the teachers' and staff cars.

Thursday was "Pamper Yourself Day." The YMCA's Denise Davis came and gave neck messages to all the staff. Beauty consultants Becky Enoch and Wendy Wickersham gave satin hand treatments and facials.

Friday, the staff members were greeted with homemade cinnamon rolls and sheet cakes.
