Former residents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Seele, 3932 George Washington Road, Lafayette, IN 47909, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family. Their son, Dr. Steven Seele, hosted a family dinner at St Elmo's restaurant in Indianapolis.

They were provided an overnight stay at the Canterbury Hotel in Indianapolis and spent the following night at the French Lick Hotel.

Seele and the former Sandra Gossett were married in a parsonage in Onarga, Ill., on Nov. 19, 1956. He is a retired automobile salesman and she is retired from the Indiana Dept. of Workforce Development.

They have two sons, Dr. Steven Seele of Kokomo and Troy Seele (wife: Molly) of Franklin, and two grandsons.
