Elizabeth "Betty" J. Pearson, 81, of Logansport, formerly of Buck Creek, died at 12:52 p.m. Nov. 13, 2006, at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 2, 1924, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Charles M. and Ethel I. Snyder Cripe. She was a 1942 graduate of Delphi High School. On Sept. 3, 1942, in Rossville, she married Richard H. Pearson, who died Feb. 3, 2000.

Mrs. Pearson was employed as a head cook at Carey Quad at Purdue University for over 27 years.

She was a member of the Buck Creek United Methodist Church and attended Cross-Wind United Methodist Church in Logansport.

She was also a member of the Buck Creek Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed doing needlework and crafts.

Surviving are a son, Dennis L. Pearson (wife: LaRoyce) of Logansport; three sisters, Leila Weaver of Costa Mesa, Calif., Mary Alice Lamb of Beech Grove, and Evelyn Cripe of Delphi; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mary Alice Moore, preceded her in death on April 4, 1991.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor Gary Lewis will officiate and burial will be at Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.

Memorials may be made to Cross-Wind United Methodist Church, 616 N. SR 25, Logansport, IN 46947, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
