In Stitches Fiber Arts Circle will meet Nov. 27 on the third floor mezzanine to work on any project involving fiber. Bring spinning, knitting, quilting or needlepoint and refreshments to share. Stitching starts at 6:30 p.m.
The November selection for iFilm series 2006 is an Indian made film titled "A Peck On the Cheek." The film, winner of six national film awards, tells the story of Amudha, adopted daughter of Thiru and Indira, who is determined to find her biological mother. The search takes the family to strife-torn Sri Lanka, where Amudha comes face to face with reality, and reconciles herself to it. The film will be shown Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. Discussion and refreshments to follow.
Children grades four through six can join in some holiday fun during Christmas Candy and Gingerbread Land workshop on Dec. 2 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Using frosting, candy and cookies, attendees will construct an enchanted Christmas gingerbread land that will be displayed in the library for patrons to enjoy over the holidays. Registration is required.

Thanksgiving holiday hours: closed on Wednesday November 23 (library is normally closed on Wednesdays), closed Thanksgiving Day, resume normal hours on Friday.
The Saturday morning book discussion group meeting has
been rescheduled for this Saturday at 10 a.m. We will discuss "Plain Truth" by Jodi Picoult.

INSPIRE offers over two dozen databases with thousands of magazines and journals with full-text and hundreds of newspapers from around the U.S. Other topics and resources include: Academics, Business, Careers, Literature, Health & Medicine, Biographies, Education, and Spanish-language. INSPIRE is Indiana's virtual library and can be accessed at inspire.net.
Having trouble finding information for your local elementary school student? Help is as close as your computer. INSPIRE Kids can assist with homework. Use the magazines, encyclopedias, pictures, and dictionary for school assignments. It is available to all kids in Indiana at no charge. Access the database at inspirekids.net.
The library also offers "Searchasaurus," grade school student user guides that show kids how to use this powerhouse resource. "Searchasaurus" can be found in the computer resource center.
The theme of the next storytime is "Thanksgiving." Storytime is Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m.
