Welk Welk Delphi Clerk-Treasurer JANICE ROE recently attended the Fall District Meeting of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerk-Treasurers in Nashville. Over 200 clerk-treasurers attended the two-day school. Matt Greller, IACT President and consultants from several firms presented information on the Circuit Breaker Tax Credit and Hometown Matters. A co-counsel from the State Election Board updated the group on changes in the election process and a representative from the Department of Local Government Finance presented changes in state requirements for the budget process.

LORI WELK of Portraits by Lori, Delphi, recently attended the Professional Photographers of Indiana Fall Seminar in N a s h v i l l e Oct. 29-30. The seminar was held to allow professional photographers to share technical ideas and participate in a statewide trade show.

In addition to participating in the workshop, Welk competed in the Indiana Folio Competition with portraits of the Rich and Stephanie Good family of Rossville. During the state luncheon, she was awarded a third place plaque for her folio entry in the children's category.

The excellent worker safety record compiled by the TOWN OF FLORA EMPLOYEES has earned the town the Indiana Public Employers' Plan safety award for 2005.

The award not only rewards the prevention of accidents among employees, but also emphasizes the cost savings to governmental agencies by keeping workers on the job.

The Town of Flora is one of 741 governmental entities throughout the state of Indiana whose employees are covered by Indiana Public Employers' Plan, Inc. (IPEP). This is the only self-funded workers compensation risk-sharing group in the state.
