Thelma Irene Hufford, 94, of Delphi, died at 2:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi.

Born Sept. 14, 1912, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Frank and Inez Schuck Galloway. Her marriage was on Aug. 9, 1940, in Monticello, to John G. Hufford, who died Sept. 13, 1991.

She was a 1931 graduate of Monticello High School.

Mrs. Hufford was a member of the Yeoman United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and also assisted her husband as secretary of their business, Hufford Transportation.

She enjoyed playing cards and games, gardening, flowers, ceramics, and painting. She was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed traveling. She had traveled to Hawaii and California and also enjoyed the Imperial Travel day trips.

Survivors include one son, James E. Hufford (wife: Donna) of Delphi; one daughter, Patricia Ratcliff (husband: Ted) of Burnettsville; two granddaughters, Denise Honeycutt (husband: Jim) and Christine Wagner; one grandson, Glen Ratcliff; three great-grandsons, Kyle Boyles, Jonathan Hufford, and Garret Wagner; and two great-granddaughters, Megan Honeycutt and Hayley Wagner. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Tom, Leo, and Meredith Galloway; a sister, Mary Hoagland; a son, Stanley Boyles; a grandson, Gary Boyles; a granddaughter, Jeanette Hufford; and a great-grandson, Justin Wagner.

Services are today (Wednesday) at noon at Fisher- Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home, Monticello, with Pastor Nord Zootman officiating. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will be in Yeoman Cemetery.
