Art Elements is a new class being offered Monday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m., Nov. 6-Dec. 4. Each week one of the five art elements - line, shape, form, color, and balance - will be the focus. This course will feature example works by the instructor, Brenda Daly Reid, and selected works throughout art history. This course is appropriate for beginners and continuing students.
More information on the class is available at the library. Register at the main desk or by calling the library at 967-3912, or by email, floralib@flora.lib.in.us. There is a small fee for the course. A materials list will be given at registration.
Saturday Morning Book Discussion Group will talk about "Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind" by Ann B. Ross. Julia Springer suffered through 44 years of a woebegone marriage before she could spread her wings and emerge as her true self, a merry widow. Miss Julia not only speaks her mind but also comes to a deeper understanding of the meaning of love, friendship, and trust. The group will meet this Saturday at 10 a.m. New members are always welcome.
The theme of the next storytime is "Bedtime Stories." Kids are invited to come in their favorite comfy jammies on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
Hear stories 24 hours a day on the library's Dial-a-Story phone line, 967-3814.
