Camden Woman's Literary Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for dinner and meeting at Soloman's Grill in Delphi. Bill Brown will speak on "Carroll County Roots." Hostesses will be Susan Briggs, Shirley Schock and Judie Peters.

Camden's 175th Anniversary Celebration committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Fireman's Lounge.All interested persons are encouraged to attend.

Camden Lions Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Fireman's Lounge. The club met recently with eight members present. Plans were discussed for the annual Halloween costume party and the Nov. 1 meeting when the district governor will be a guest.

Aim Hi Extension Homemakers Club will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 19 in the home of Jane George with Evetta Recher assisting. Oct. 21 is Make a Difference Day. Members are reminded to bring hats, mittens, underwear, socks and sweatpants to the Oct. 19 meeting. These items will be distributed to the county schools. Indiana Extension Homemakers Week will be observed Oct. 15-21.

The club's September meeting was held recently at the home of Barb Jones with Joan Rogers assisting. Thirteen members attended. Justine Crume presented the lesson, "What Do Quilts Tell Us," and Barb Jones presented the lesson, "Crockpot Cookery." Devotions were given by Jean Willy. The birthday song honored Sharon Ashby and Barb Jones.

Joan Rogers is retiring after nearly nine years of taking blood pressure checks the first Wednesday of each month at the Fireman's Lounge. A replacement has yet to be named.
