Local baseball players on wooden bat league

Eight Carroll County high school athletes are taking advantage of an opportunity to play baseball this fall in a wooden bat
league in Lafayette.
Kyle Bender, Andrew Cebulla,
Andrew Flora, Kris Bender, and Tanner Cripe from Delphi Community High School, along with Chandler Keown, Greg Manning, and Brad Benson from Carroll High School are teamed with players from Twin Lakes, Benton Central, and Lafayette Jeff to make up the Lansing Lugnuts.
Games are played at Loeb Stadium and the West Lafayette High School diamond on Sunday afternoons.
The Lugnuts enjoyed a successful weekend double-header, winning both games by scores of 3-0 and 10-9 respectively.
Their head coach is Kevin Conner of Delphi.
