The 50-year reunion of the Flora High School Class of 1956 was held July 15 at the Wabash & Erie Canal Interpretive Center in Delphi. Nineteen class members attended. Of the original 28 graduates, five are deceased - Mary Ann Cripe, Bill Shaffer, Robert Ryan, Bud Jackson, and Carolyn Marley. Special guest was Elizabeth Jackson of Collinsville, Ill. She and her husband, Andrew, were class parents. Those attending were, from left: Richard Murphy of Carmel, Jane (Adams) Briley of Bloomington, Nancy (Schnieb) Harshbarger of Rossville, Wilma (Disinger) Peterson of Delphi, and Madonna (Jordan) Brownlee of Atlanta, Ga. Middle - Sonia (Cook) Garrison of Lafayette, Georgia Ann (McKinley) Miller of Greenwood, Nancy (Wilson) Berkey of Lafayette, Mary Jo (Thompson) Kirkham of Muncie, Louanne (McKinley) Bricker of Logansport, Sharon (Garrison) Morgan of Toledo, Ohio, and Frances (Burnham) Foster of West Lafayette. Back - Jerry Berkey of Lafayette, Tom McKinley of Kokomo. Gerald Clingenpeel of Flora, Joe Clawson of Marion, Larry Ward of Homestead, Fla., Don Collins of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Murray Langston, Summerville, S.C.
