Delphi Preservation Society
New DPS officers Delphi Preservation Society officers are (l-r): Anita Werling, president; Andy Cougill, vice president; Bethanny Cougill, secretary; and Dick Traeger, treasurer. The Delphi Preservation Society elected new officers for the coming year at the June 15 meeting. Anita Werling became president, Andy Cougill vice president, Dick Traeger treasurer and Bethanny Cougill secretary.
Other board members include Joe Kitchell, Janet Ayres, Carol Dickman, Greg Norman and Mark Scharer.
Outgoing president Lynn Corson was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his tireless service on behalf of the organization. Corson will remain active with the group as project manager.
Werling reported the structural analysis of the Assion-Ruffing City Hall buildings recommended a new roof.
A proposal for schematic design plans for the renovation of the old City Hall and Opera House was received and is under review.
Plans were finalized for Old Settlers. Old-fashioned root beer will be sold at the DPS tent during the event. The Tonsil Klackers will perform in the Opera House on that Saturday night.
