Rides and circus are added attractions to fair line-up

Flora Community Club has secured a carnival and free entertainment to help make this year's Carroll County 4-H Fair a true family event.

Burton Brothers Midway rides will be set up Fri., July 7, through Mon., July 10, from 4 to 10 p.m. Midway specials will be offered each night.

Tues., July 11, jugglers will be performing a free show at 7 p.m. at the basketball courts.

The Peru Circus is coming to town on Wed., July 12, with two free shows provided by local sponsors. The first 45-minute show will be at 6:30 p.m., followed by the second show at 7:45 p.m.

Carroll County Firefighters will have their Smokehouse set up both Wed. and Thurs., July 12 and 13, from 5 to 8 p.m., just east of the Merchants Building.

Also on Thurs., July 13, the National Pedal Pullers will have a contest at the basketball courts for ages 3 through 19. Registration is from 5 to 6 p.m.

The Merchant's Building will be open beginning Friday night. Also on Friday night, July 7, the Little Miss & Mister Pageant will be held in the show arena beginning at 7 p.m.

The annual 4-H Fair Queen Pageant will be held Saturday evening, July 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the show arena.
