Registration and line-up for floats, groups, businesses, clubs and individuals begins at 8 a.m. on parade day in the Globe Valve parking lot. Judging begins at 9. Awards will be presented at 11:45 at the Canal Center.

Prior to the parade, a patriotic ceremony will be held at 9:45 downtown. A local color guard will begin the special program on the north side of the courthouse. Conner and Lois Powlen will sing the Star Spangled Banner. The event will conclude with a gun salute by the American Legion followed by Taps performed by Dick Grantham.

The parade route will be the same as last year and use Washington, Monroe, Market, Franklin, Indiana and Clay streets.
