Open house for Hollis 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Travis Hollis of Kokomo, formerly of Bringhurst, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house on July 8.

The event will be from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Johanning Civic Center in Kokomo. It will be hosted by the couple's children and Debbie Spence.

Hollis and the former Joan Hillery were married July 8, 1956, in Plant City, Fla., by Rev. T. F. Osteen.

Hollis is a retired carpenter. He worked 33 years at National Homes in Lafayette. Mrs. Hollis retired from Delco in Kokomo, after working there 33 years.

They have a son, David Hollis of Kokomo, and a daughter, Gail Frye (husband: Rodney) of Camden. The couple also has two granddaughters and three great-grandsons.
