Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Salsbery, P.O. Box 236, Burlington, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at an open house on July 9.

The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Burlington Community Center. It will be preceded by a family dinner. The couple's children are hosting the dinner and open house.

Salsbery and the former Marjorie Ann Shutters were married July 8, 1956, in the Methodist Church at West Middleton.

He is a retired veterinarian. She is a homemaker and did office work.

They have four children and nine grandchildren. Their children are Karen Clem (husband: Steve) of Kokomo, Sharon Carr (husband: Bill) of Fishers, Jeff Salsbery (wife: Kim) of Sheridan, and Randy Salsbery (wife: Diane) of Westfield.

The couple requests no gifts, but cards are welcome.
