Jennings celebrate 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Gene Jennings of 212 Northwestern Ave., Monticello, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house on July 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Honan Hall on the corner of Union and Monroe streets in Delphi. It will be hosted by their children and grandchildren.

Jennings and the former Patsy Pullen were married July 15, 1956, at Delphi United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Forrest Howell officiating.

Jennings is a semi-retired farmer, who has farmed south of Delphi for 23 years. He drove a school bus for Delphi Community School Corporation for 13 years.

His wife, who is retired, worked as a secretary for Carroll County Extension Office, the Carroll County Clerk's office, and the Carroll County Prosecutor's Office.

The couple has two children, Brad Jennings and Scott Jennings (wife: Tracy), both of Monticello. They also have three granddaughters.

The couple requests that gifts be omitted, but cards are welcome.
