Mary A. Renfro
A funeral mass for Mary Alice Renfro, 74, of Chico, Calif., will be held at 11 a.m., T h u r s d a y , June 29, at St. John the
C a t h o l i c Church in Chico. Burial will be private. She died Thursday, June 22, 2006, at a local hospital. Mary was born in Lafayette, Ind., to George and Alice (Turner) Carrier on May 1, 1932. She was raised and educated in Delphi, Ind., where she met and married Mike Renfro in 1952. They moved to Chico in 1963. Mary worked in banking for 23 years. She attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She bowled for many years and enjoyed square dancing and social dancing. Mary lived with many health problems for the last 30 years, but she lived happily, enjoying her family and friends while celebrating birthdays, holidays and family gatherings. She left her family with many memories to enjoy. Her family wishes to acknowledge the care and comfort she received at Enloe Medical Center and the support and love of her friends during the difficult times she was hospitalized over the years. She is survived by her husband; three children, Teresa Renfro of Chico, Bradley Renfro of Glenn, Calif., and Mike Renfro Jr. of Roseville, Calif.; four grandchildren, Kyle, Chad, J.B. and Kaylin; a sister, Carolyn McLaughlin of Chico; two brothers, James Carrier of Alabama and Tom Carrier of Florida; and her niece and goddaughter, Susan McLaughlin of Davis, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Carrier.
