Joe Howard Schnieb
Joe Howard Schnieb, 71, of Logansport, died at 4:15 p.m. June 25, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor in Logansport. Born June 8, 1935, in Camden, he was the son of Cloyde and Pearl Hieland Schnieb.
Circa 1953 He graduated from Camden High School in 1953 and then joined the U.S. Army. He served from 1953 to 1957 in Germany.
He was employed as a maintenance worker at New Holland Ford.
He was a member of the Camden First Baptist Church and the Isaac Walton League at Logansport.
An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
Surviving are a brother, Jerry Schnieb of Rochester; a sister, Susan Bonnell of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A sister, Peggy Riley, and her husband, Ray, preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden, with Pastor Chad Hoesman officiating. Burial will be at Paint Creek Cemetery, Camden. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
