Delphi Pony team picks up 2 wins
Delphi Auto Express Pony baseball team ran its record to 11-3 with a 12-1 win over Frankfort Gray and a 2-0 win over Clinton Central.
In the Frankfort game, winning pitcher Tyler Smith struck out 2, walked 4 and gave up 4 hits. Zack Condon and Smith both had 2 hits and 2 RBIs, while Andrew Burton had a single, a double and 2 RBIs.
In a pitcher's duel against Clinton Central, Neil Snoeberger picked up the win in a complete game by striking out 9 and giving up 2 hits. In the bottom of the second inning, Snoberger had Delphi's only hit of the game and stole second. Braden Atwood's ground out moved Snoeberger to third. Andrew Burton reached base on a fielder's choice. Snoeberger scored on the Clinton Central pitcher's throwing error, with Burton moving to second. Tyler Smith got on base by an error, moving Burton to third, who then scored on Condon's RBI ground out.
