Pauline Wiscaver of Hemet, Calif., spent several days recently with Opal Bowman of Delphi. They had not seen each other for over 50 years and had lost touch. Bowman located Hemet by searching the Internet. During World War II, the women worked at Delphi Body Works, which at that time manufactured airplane parts for the war. Wiscaver's husband was a soldier in the European Theater and she lived in Delphi with her parents while he was overseas. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Alkire, and he was manager of the old canning factory in North Delphi. The women recalled working evenings peeling tomatoes during canning season.

Tim, Theresa and Trevor Peters of Delphi, Bruce, Cindy, Jenny, Sarah and Elijah Dunk, Spencer and Emily Redman, Jo and Paul Snell, Marilyn Dunk, all of Rossville, Doug, Karen, Carey, Ben, Dougy and Jacob Stevens of Burnettsville, Doris and Gene Harter of Camden took the pizza train round trip from Noblesville to Tipton Saturday afternoon.
