Mildred E. Evans Rottler, 82, of Lafayette, died at 12:15 p.m. on June 17, 2006, in Lafayette.

She was born in Radnor on March 22, 1924. She married Maynard Evans in Frankfort on Dec. 24, 1942, and he died March 6, 1945. Her second marriage was to Robert J. Rottler in Lafayette on Nov. 16, 1947, and he died Dec. 29, 1992.

Mrs. Rottler had been employed at the former S.S. Kresge Department Store, where she worked in bookkeeping.

She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lafayette.

Surviving are a son Jack Evans (wife: Judi) of La Palma, Calif.; a daughter, Merry Lawhead (husband: David) of Annandale, Va.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

A family burial service was conducted at Springvale Cemetery in Lafayette.
