Leila H. Laber
Leila H. "Lee" Bolinger Laber, 60, of 2618W 900N, Delphi, died at 12:45 p.m. on June 14, 2006, at her residence. She had battled cancer for the past few months.
Born May 10, 1946, in Raleigh, N.C., she was a 1964 graduate of Pioneer High School and a 1967 graduate of the former St. Vincent School of Nursing in Indianapolis.
Her marriage was to Fred H. Laber on July 27, 1968, in Lafayette, and he survives.
Mrs. Laber was a nurse for over 25 years, working at White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello for 13 years in the OB/Delivery Department, where she was the director of obstetrics. She had worked in Delphi at the former Birchwood Manor Nursing Home for several years.
She enjoyed tennis, bowling and flower gardening.
Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Jennifer A. Laber of Burnettsville and Tracy L. Laber of Delphi; a sister, Helen Nace (husband: Jack) of Delphi; her mother-in-law, Selma Lin Reeder of Monticello; and two grandchildren, David and Emma.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Private family services are planned. Abbott Funeral Home is assisting the family.
