Camden to correct meter problem
     The clerk-treasurer's request to approve expenditures of funds to start moving "problem" meters from the basements of certain residences was approved at the June 13 meeting of the Camden Town Council.

Burlington's red barn is coming down
     Burlington Town Council opened the June 14 meeting with a decision to tear down the red barn, located on the south side of Burlington Community Park. A new barn to house just the town truck and generator will be built in its place.

Reintroduced raptors set nesting record in 2006
     Department of Natural Resources biologist John Castrale and DNR pilot Dennis Rumley spent seven workdays in a helicopter this spring swooping down Hoosier rivers and around Indiana's reservoirs searching for and checking eagle nests.

State Police make 80 criminal arrests in May
     Indiana State Police at the Lafayette Post have released statistics for May. Troopers issued 1070 traffic citations and wrote 793 traffic warnings. Troopers also arrested 22 drunk drivers and made 80 criminal arrests. They also investigated 47 vehicle crashes and made 80 crash arrests.
