The Carrollton Bridge on CR700 is closed for rehabilitation. The project is anticipated to last until the middle of November. Comet photo by Debbie Lowe As the summer rolls on, progress will be made on a number of Carroll County bridges being repaired and rehabilitated. And that means some of them will be closed until the work is completed. County highway supervisor Ramzi Awwad reported the long-awaited rehabilitation project on the Carrollton Bridge on CR700 is underway. The work forced the closing of the structure until about the middle of November.

The Xenia Bridge on Prince William Road will be closed on or after June 20. It is expected to re-open by Oct. 1.

Awwad said the third bridge to close this summer is bridge #120 on CR200, also known as the Crooked Road to Flora/Delphi. Work will begin on or after July 5 and will last until about the end of August.

For information about bridge closings or road conditions, contact the county highway department in Flora at (574) 967-4244.
