Photo provided Carroll County Extension Homemakers celebrated achievements of outstanding clubs and individuals at the annual Spring Event Achievement Night in May. Barb Dillon, E.H. president, welcomed 50 members.

The entertainment for the evening was the Open Class Fashion Show, narrated by Beverly Seese. Participants were: Deb Foreman sewing for Ella Foreman and Allison O'Brien, Julie Price sewing for Abigayle Price, Jane Brewington sewing for Mekenzie Gear and Emilee Gear, Cheryl Shaffer sewing for Katey Roth, and Norma Miller sewing for Annette Miller. Brewington was awarded for her construction of Mekenzie's garment.

New officers were introduced. They are: Cheryl Shaffer, president; Loretta Lambert, vice president; Elizabeth Mylet, secretary; Shirley Plank, treasurer; and Barb Dillon, past president and advisor.

Other achievements recognized were Honor Club certificates, in which each club had to earn at least 250 points. Winners were Adams Township, Aim Hi, Carrollton Cardinals, Classie Classics, Clay Harmony, Contemporary Collections, Dolly Madison, Double Dozen, Forty Niners, Friendly Circle, Liberty Bells, Modern's, Rock Creek and Silver Bells. The club with the highest points was Dolly Madison.

Seven new members were recognized with an IEHA pin. They were Eleanor Sheets, Ruth Crow, Judy Hoffman, Julie Blackburn, Sandy Noland, Mary Simpson and Becky Unger.

Awards were given to members who had perfect attendance. Among them were Donna Swayze, Helen Forgey and Rose Pullen, who each had four years of perfect attendance.

Marge Landes was recognized for her 50 years of membership.

A memorial was given by Donna McCarty of Clay Harmony Club, for Judith Britton, Dana Parrett, Sue Puller, Ione Powell, Mabel Mullin, Dorothy Miller, Leone McManus and Carolyn Burkle.

The Volunteer Angel Club Award was won by the Double Dozen Club. Each club chose a member to receive an Angel Award. The winners were Barb Roller, Loretta Lambert, Barb Dillon, Karen Miller and Helen Ennis. The overall Volunteer Angel winner was Helen Ennis. She was given a Willow Tree Angel.

Teddy Bear Award winners were Barb Dillon, first place, and Pam Munsterman, second.
