Camden American Legion will meet Monday evening at the Legion Home.

Camden Preservation Society will meet a 7 p.m. Monday in the Fireman's Lounge.

The Summer Reading Program is underway at the Camden-Jackson Township Public Library. Special programs are held each Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the library for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade and for those ages sixth through eighth grades.

Guests during the week of Frank Daniel and Shanell Whitfield and family were his parents, Frank and Mary Whitfield, and her mom and stepdad, Sue and Loren Burke of Las Vegas.

Several committees and chairpersons for Camden's 175th anniversary celebration in 2007 have been formed. They are: Shawn Telpher, entertainment; Maryanna Selvidge, community displays; Diane Wertz, food; Marge Sieber, publicity; Melissa Red Elk, promotional items; Shirley Schock, history; Jana Rouhier, photography; and Dan Casserly, revenue. The next meeting will be the end of July or first of August.
