Classy Classics

The monthly meeting of the Classy Classics Extension Homemakers Club was held June 12 at the home of Lois Patty on Lake Shafer with 15 members present.

Reports were given, and assignments made for monthly hostesses.

Devotions were given by Mary Bush, with emphasis on light in our life, reflecting our good deeds.

After lunch at Indiana Beach, the group returned to Lois Patty's home for dessert and to make iris fold greeting cards. Darice Sheiss, program assistant from the Extension Service, gave the instruction.

Pat Rodgers received the attendance prize.

Delphi CWF

The CWF of the Delphi Christian Church met June 6 with La Verne Andry as hostess.

Twelve members answered roll call: " With which character in the Bible do you most identify?"

Katie Cree gave the worship using the theme, "Is anything too hard for God?"

Pat Curts read a letter from the Pembertons, missionaries in Africa.

Money received during the year was dispersed into foreign missions, local missions, and the church. Money will be sent to the Pembertons, FAME, Carroll County Released Time, and Hanging Rock church camp for camp fees.

The CWF will honor the fathers with sandwiches and pie after church on June 25.

Fairy Hackerd installed the same officers as last year.

Wednesday Forum

Members of Wednesday Forum met at French Post Park for their June meeting. They enjoyed their annual Strawberry Festival. This was begun in 1981 and has become a tradition for the club. Members played bingo after lunch, receiving white elephant gifts for prizes. The club's current events were discussed.
