Lon Bohnstedt, a former Flora resident who now resides in Florida, offered these additional words of wisdom for graduates:

1. Use Vince Lombardi time,i.e.If you're supposed be there at 8 and you get there at 8, you're 10 minutes late.

2. Put 10% of every paycheck into mutual funds and don't touch them until you retire.

3. If you don't enjoy your job, find something you do enjoy and make that your life's work.

4. If you're standing in line in the grocery store and the person in front of you is a little short of money, give them what they need.

5. Do something good for your community or someone in it every week.
