The WELCA women's group of Faith Lutheran Church will have their June meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the church. Janet Hertenstein will give the lesson and refreshments will be hosted by Judy Barber. All the women of the church are invited.

Presbyterian Women of the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church will meet June 28 at Mary Blue's home at 6 p.m. This is a carry-in dinner. The study lesson is "Epiphany" - A Time to Keep Silence, and a Time to Speak" and will be given by Doris Fouts.

A surprise birthday party with a cake was hosted by Lois Wallace for her father, Ted Sidenbender, who turned 94 on June 4. Those attending were Betty Smith, Tami Hile, Deb Freeman, Dot Fulton, Marilyn Hile, Jim Wallace, John Guckien, Roger Myer, John Wilson, Jim Avery, and George Marcellino.
