Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs hosted their 32nd Annual Meeting May 9 in Lafayette.

The Agency presented Elaine Brovont, director of Mid-Land Meals in Lafayette, the Agency's contracted in-home and congregate meal provider with the Felice Bray Leadership Award. Brovont serves on the Agency's Advisory Council, and is a state and national leader in the field of congregate and home-delivered meals.

One of the Agency's own Money Management volunteers Patricia Wilder was presented with the Mary L. Richter Volunteer Award. Wilder has been a faithful and dedicated volunteer since 1999 working with one very challenging client throughout this time. She maintains a positive attitude and is always willing to "go the extra mile".

State Representative Sheila Klinker also installed the Agency's officers for 2006-07. Officers are: Ken Green of

Delphi, president; Bob Brinson of Michigantown, vice president; Nancy Wagner of Covington, secretary; and Christa Keck of West Lafayette, treasurer.

During the staff service awards portion of the program, Representative Klinker presented Area IV Executive Director Sharon Wood with an Indiana State Seal and Resolution in honor of her ten years of service and significant work at the State level. Other employees honored for their years of service were: 15 Years - Rick Blank, Mildred Edmondson and Christy WrightRobinson, 10 Years - Barb Lindstrom and Julie McQuade, 5 Years - Justine Currie, Sheryl Dunn, Randy Madlung, Sara Moore, Michele Smiley and Judy Worland.

Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs is a non-profit, social service organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals, families and communities.
