Jefferson Go-Getters

Jefferson Township Go-Getters 4-H Club met on recently at the Yeoman United Methodist Church.

Officers were elected as follows: Darren Paul, president; Michelle Burke, vice president; Michael Burke, secretary; Megan Weaver, treasurer; Josh Potts, song leader; Katie O'Farrell, news reporter; Ashley Paul, health and safety; Dustin Paul and Mark Weaver, recreation. Weaver

Demonstrations were given by Michelle Burke, who also provided refreshments. She demonstrated her foods project.

At another recent meeting, the 4-H'ers decided to donate $50 worth of food and necessaries to the White County Food Pantry, along with a $50 monetary donation. Megan Weaver gave a demonstration on cake decorating, and also brought in refreshments. Nathan O'Farrell gave a demonstration on electricity at the May 2 meeting. He also contributed refreshments.

The next meeting will be May 23 at 7 p.m. at the Yeoman United Methodist Church.

Tractor Driving Workshop

The 4-H Tractor leader has set two workshop dates: May 24 and June 7. They will be held at 7 p.m. at the Flora Community 4-H Building. Bring project books to both meetings.
