Emmitt Huskey, 87, of Delphi, died at 8:19 a.m. on May 3, 2006 in Monticello.

Born in Swifton, Ark., on April 2, 1919, he was the son of Quantrell and Myrtle Bettis Huskey.

His marriage was to Edith Myrl in Newport, Ark., on Jan. 16, 1976, and she survives.

Mr. Huskey was a farmer and had retired.

He was a member of Pittsburg Missionary Baptist Church in Delphi.

Surviving with his wife are four sons, Jimmy Huskey (wife: Glenda) of Strawberry, Ark., Lavon Huskey (wife: Evelyn) of Batesville, Ark., Carroll Huskey (wife: Sue) of Tuckerman, Ark., and Rickey Huskey (wife: Talesa) of Thida, Ark.; two stepdaughters, Caroline Rush and Janet Walker (husband: Dean) both of Delphi; two stepsons, Leslie Fuller (wife: Billie) of Dade City, Fla., and Larry Fuller (wife: Debbie) of Delphi; a brother, Billy J. Huskey of Jonesboro, Ark.; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, three brothers, and a stepgrandson.

Services were held in Arkansas, with burial at Arnold Cemetery in Swifton, Ark.
