Lois I. Lowe, 88, Logansport, died at 9:20 a.m. May 6, 2006, in Memorial Hospital, Logansport.

Born Feb. 23, 1918, on the family farm near Bringhurst in Carroll County, she was the daughter of Wesley and Estella Shanafelt Zinn. She was married on July 29, 1939, in Smith Valley, in southern Indiana, to Ralph W. Lowe, who survives. His uncle, the Rev. Julius Shrigley, officiated.

Ahomemaker, Mrs. Lowe was a graduate of Carrollton High School.

She had been employed as an EKG technician at Memorial Hospital in Logansport for over 25 years.

For 50 years, while residing on their farm east of Camden, she was a member of Camden First Baptist Church. After moving to Logansport in 1994, she attended the Logansport Church of the Brethren.

She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Elizabeth Billman of Logansport; a son, William J. Lowe of Mossy Rock, Wash.; a sister, Doris Parks (husband: Ralph) of Avon; four grandchildren, David Tocco (wife: Valerie) of Camden, Debra Schulze (husband: Jerry) of Winfield, Ill.; Cynthia Lowe (friend: Frank Butrille) of Portland, Ore., and Scott Lowe (friend: Shannon Marr) of Eugene, Ore.; a greatgrandchild, Anamaria Schulze of Winfield, Ill.; a stepgreat-grandchild, Cassie Aldridge (husband: Dan) of Camden; a stepgreatgreat grandchild, Nautica Aldridge of Camden; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Lionel Billman; daughter-in-law, Judy Lowe; two brothers, Melvin and Carl Zinn; and four sisters, Ethel Wise, Carrie Zinn, Myrtle Wingard, and Mary Simchick.

Services were held Tuesday at Kroeger Funeral Home, Logansport, with Pastor Aaron Gross officiating. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
