An exhibition of works created by students in Tuesday Afternoon Drawing Studio will hang in the Globe Room through May 20. Students have created works in graphite, pen and ink, and colored pencil. The following artists will be exhibiting: Abigail Germond, Emma Germond, Clara Germond, Elisa Germond, Susannah Germond, Anita Smith, Christina Smith, Matthew Etter, Rebecca Etter, Lily Anderson, Rebecca McVay, Noah Reed, Janely Licona and Wanda Wilcox. Instructor for the class is Sara Daly-Brosman.
The Coffee Beat on May 20 will feature the music of Malachi Jaggers. Over the past five years, he has become a Coffee Beat staple who always offers an evening of inspirational and contemporary Christian music. Adding to his repetoire, Jaggers will play Beatles, classic rock and a little folk. Coffee starts brewing around 6:30 with music at 7 p.m.
In Stitches will meet May 22 at 6:30 p.m. Quilters, knitters and crafters of all kinds are encouraged to join the fellowship, fun, food and conversation. Bring a work in progress and a snack to share.
Evening Book Club meets May 24 at 7 p.m. to discuss "Ladder of Years" by Anne Tyler. The review will be given by Sara Daly-Brosman. Multiple copes of this title are available.
The i-Film Series 2006 continues with the showing of the Norwegian award-winning film, "Hawaii, Oslo" at 7 p.m. on May 25. The public is invited to this free showing. Refreshments and discussion will follow.
Book Club will meet at 9 a.m. on May 26 to review "We Are Our Mothers' Daughters" by Cokie Roberts. The review will be given by Helen Hanna. Multiple copies of the title are available. DPL's Stargazers Children's
Theatre will have auditions for the summer production of "Annie Jr." on May 30 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Children in grades K-4 should plan to audition from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., and children grades five through eight should plan to come from 9:30 to 11 a.m. There are many parts for boys and girls. It will be staged at the Little Theatre on July 21-22. Call the library to sign up for auditions.

There will be no story hour in May. Summer Reading program begins in June. The library will have a kickoff pizza party on June 2.
Flora-Monroe Township
The summer reading program's grand kickoff was at Carroll Elementary School last Friday with "The Spoon Man." The library would like to thank principal Carolyn O'Connell for hosting the event at the school.
The library's summer reading program, "Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales" will run June 5 through July 21. Pre-registration will begin on May 30. The Flora chapter of Psi Iota Xi sponsors the summer reading programming.
Library Direct is a new service being offered to help individuals in the library district who are homebound, including the elderly, handicapped, and those temporarily incapacitated by long-term illness or injury. Applications for service are available at the library.
The Indiana State Library offers a free service to all Hoosiers to make life easier for the sight impaired Indiana Talking Books and Braille Service. The program circulates books in Braille, large print, and on tape. It provides the equipment needed to play the recorded materials. It also provides magazines in special media.
The Saturday Morning Book Club will meet on May 20 to discuss "Catch Me If You Can" by Frank Abagnale. A hilarious, stranger-thanfiction account of his sumptuous life on the lam, international escapades, and ingenious escapes, "Catch Me If You Can" is a captivating tale of deceit. This is a change in title for May; pick up your copy of the book at the main desk.
The theme for next storytime is Bugs. Creepy crawly stories, fingerplays and fun will be at the library! Come to storytime on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m.
