Superintendent John Sayers said another class will be added to summer school. World History will be taught from May 31 to June 27, at $80 per student. The class will be taught by Glen Dillman. Huckstep said at least 21 students have signed up. Sayers added that taking the class in the summer will free up a period for those students during the school year, and it will allow Dillman to teach another section.
Sayers announced the resignation of Roger Mahrling as technology coordinator. He has accepted a position at Purdue University. His resignation is effective after the end of school, May 23.
The board approved a 25-year warranty on the new football lights that will be installed this summer. The cost of the warranty is $4,500. Sayers said this not only includes replacing burned out bulbs as they occur, but replacing all of the bulbs after seven years.
