Services for Edward M. Brown, 49, of Camden, were held Monday at St. Joseph C a t h o l i c Church, Delphi. Father Peter Va n d e r k o l k Camden Cemetery.

He died April 25, 2006, in Carroll County.

Born June 25, 1956, in Logansport, he was the son of Thomas C. and Helen Murphy Brown. He was married on July 19, 1986, to Lisa Lutes, who survives.

A Carroll County farmer, Ed was also employed by Excel Co-op, Flora, where he delivered LP gas.

He was a 1974 graduate of Carroll High School and a 1976 graduate of Vincennes University, where he was a charter member of Sigma Nu fraternity.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Ed was also a member of the Indiana Angus Association, and had a small herd of Angus cattle.

He was past president of the Carroll County 4-H Fair Board and was a strong supporter of the Horse and Pony Club.

Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Sarah Brown, at home; a brother, John Brown (wife: Suzanna) of Hanover; two sisters, Mary Susan Brown of Camden and Nancy Stone (husband: Dr. George) of Fort Wayne; his fatherin law and mother-in-law, Max and Judy Lutes of Terre Haute; four nieces and three nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Edward Murphy Brown Scholarship Fund in care of Kroeger Funeral Home.
