Lower Deer Creek Church of the Brethren will have their annual chicken and pot pie supper (rolled dumplings) on Saturday. Serving will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the church.

Blood pressure checks will be given May 3 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Fireman's Lounge.

The Board of Christian Education of the Baptist Church will meet at 7 p.m. May 3 in the church.

Dorcas Missionary Society of the Baptist Church will meet at 7 p.m. May 4 at the church. Bible Book of the Month is Nahum. Hostesses are Anna Case and Jimpsie Doyel.

The town is gearing up for next year's 175th anniversary celebration. A kick-off meeting will be held at 7 p.m. June 5 at the United Methodist Church. Anyone interested in helping with the event should plan to attend.
