Area IV Agency on Aging and Community Action Programs will hold the 20th Annual Senior Games June 5 through 20.

The annual games will feature a variety of sporting events and activities ranging from track, golf, swimming and tennis to a nature walk, fitness walk, bingo and euchre. Anew event this year will be Bocce Ball.

Senior Games are for those age 55 and better who reside in Carroll and surrounding counties.

The games offer the opportunity to compete and win medals in 19 different games while staying active, having fun and enjoying the company of other participants.

The opening ceremonies will be held June 5 at Jefferson High School, 18th Street, Lafayette. Opening day will include the torch lighting by captains Tommy and Gloria Austin of W. Lafayette; guest speaker Iron Man competitor and international marathon runner, Dr. Roger Bosley; breakfast; euchre tournament; lunch; bingo; and track and field.

This year's closing ceremonies will take place at The Trails Banquet Facility in West Lafayette, and will feature the Joybell Theater a one-woman, 37-bell musical celebration.
