Carroll Cougar Softball has had a strong start for the 2006 season. With a record of six wins and six losses, the Cougars' record does not reflect the impressive play that has been an accepted standard for this season.

Early in the season, the Cougars defeated Pioneer 1-0.

Carroll has never beat Pioneer, so the win was that much sweeter. Twice this season, play has extended into extra innings. The ninth inning loss to fourth ranked Frontier, 0-1, was an outstanding game for the Cougars even though they missed the win. After ten innings of play, the Cougars beat Tri-Central 9-8.
