Ruby J. Hinkle, 85, of Flora, died at 2:45 p.m. April 22, 2006, at Lafayette Home Hospital.

Born Feb. 21, 1921, in Bringhurst, she was the daughter of Lawrence F. and Minnie Burge Spurgeon.

She cleaned houses and was a member of Living Faith Church of the Brethren.

Surviving are a daughter, Beverly Hinkle of Flora; a brother, Joe Spurgeon of Flora; and a sister, Betty Richason of Mitchell. Three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Services were held Monday at Reinke Funeral Home, Flora. Burial was at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
