One hundred fifty-four attend Cutler H.S. alumni banquet

Cutler High School Alumni Association held its annual banquet recently at Carroll Elementary School with 154 in attendance.

Those attending from the classes of the 1930s were: Mary Catherine Bordner Carter, '30; Clayton and Alena Jervis Hutson and Phyllis Reef Cook, '35; Mary Pullen Overholser and Virginia Cook

Smith, '36; Lola Bordner, Lew Kressley and Bernice Overholser Miller, '39.

Vice president Mark Cook called the meeting to order, and financial reports were given. Shelby Albaugh, the 2005 scholarship recipient, was introduced and thanked the membership for their support. The 50th year Class of 1956 had

nine present: Linda Ayres Cromer, Barbara Sue Miller Cox, Shirley Myer Plank, Gene McCarty, Lewis Mundell, Judy DeBoy Bougher, Dr. Gerald Bougher, Patsy Harshbarger Robertson and Doyal Robertson. One former teacher, Warren Thomas, and his son Kent were present with this class. The 25-year class had one present,

Joetta Enoch McGrew. Class of 1946 had three members present: Marjorie Cook Smith, Barbara Sheagley Draper, and Jim Ayres.

Lori Smith, a senior from Carroll High School and Tiffany Clark, a senior from Logansport High School, joined the association this year. Names of the 11 alumni

deceased since the last meeting were read: Raymond Ball, Betty Bell Click, Virginia Harmon Phebus, Gerald Webb, Jack Cunningham, Gene Jervis, Robert V. Draper, James L. Draper, Judith Kirkpatrick Britton, Bonita Mocherman Snell and Steven Sheagley.

Officers for 2007 will be: Mark Cook, president; Gene McCarty,

vice president; Phyllis Gangwer Mummert, secretary; Barbara Sheagley Draper, treasurer; and Irma Clem Cook, historian.

Pastor Jim Long from the Cutler Presbyterian Church dismissed the group in prayer until the next meeting April 14, 2007.
