Carroll Science Fair winners named
Overall winners in Carroll Jr.-Sr. High School's Science Fair are pictured above, l-r - Andrew Miller, Sarah Griffin, Lucia Zook, Kevin Knaus, Chandler Keown, Michael Myer. Working in teams of two, Miller and Myer won first place (project shown); Griffin and Zook won second, and Knaus and Keown won third. There were 152 projects in the fair. There were 152 projects entered. Judging was in two divisions - junior, grades 7 and 8, and senior, grades 9-12. The students had to follow the scientific method and meet other project criteria. They entered projects as individuals or in teams of two or three.
Overall winners were:
First place Andrew Miller and Michael Myer, "Aluminum bats vs. wooden bats." They also received first place in the junior division, in the category of Engineering.
Second place - Lucia Zook and Sarah Griffin, "Growing rabbits - small cage vs. large cage." They also received first place in the senior division in Zoology.
Third place - Chandler Keown and Kevin Knaus, "The viscosity of biofuels." They also received first place in the senior division in Engineering.
